It's official: Adam Levine is People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2013! The news may not be that surprising, as Adam has been rumored to be the magazine's new pick ever since last week. This marks Adam's first time being picked for the top honor and the first time that People has selected a musician to take home the top spot. (Even though previous winners such as Johnny Depp and Hugh Jackman have musical tendencies, they didn't get famous for their skills as professional singers.)

Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine made news on Tuesday when they announced that they're engaged to be married, but they're certainly not the only model-and-musician couple to make headlines. Relationships between gorgeous covergirls and talented rock stars have a rich, storied history. And with enduring pairings like Iman and David Bowie or Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum, models and musicians seem to go together like prawns and mayo.
So in honour of the Victoria's Secret Angel's engagement to the Maroon 5 front man, we're taking a look back at some of our favourite model-rocker pairings who are still making their relationships work.
Adam Levine and Victoria's Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo are engaged, People reports. The singer's rep released a statement today, saying, "Adam Levine and his girlfriend Behati Prinsloo are excited to announce they are engaged to be married," adding, "The couple recently reunited and Adam proposed this weekend in Los Angeles."
Adam and Behati began dating in May 2012 and split earlier this year. Soon after, Adam was briefly linked to another Victoria's Secret model, Nina Agdal — they were spotted at the end of June on vacation together in Los Cabos, Mexico, where they played volleyball and relaxed by the pool with friends. Though Nina and Adam may have parted ways, it definitely looks like Adam and Behati have reunited for good. Congratulations to the happy couple!
Britney Spears was back in fine form when she hosted the Wango Tango music festival in Carson, CA, yesterday. She was joined by her former kindred X Factor judge Demi Lovato as well as performers Avril Lavigne, Bruno Mars, and Maroon 5's Adam Levine. Britney wore a formfitting black dress as she took the stage to introduce the acts, marking her first onstage appearance since she left The X Factor back in January. While she didn't perform this time around, Britney fans will get a chance to see the singer perform live soon as she confirmed last week that she will be taking up a residency in Las Vegas. The concert series, which will reportedly be held at Planet Hollywood, will begin in the Fall. Preparing for Sin City isn't the only thing on Britney's mind — she recently tweeted that she is reading The Goddess Inheritance, a YA novel by Aimee Carter.
Taylor Swift and LL Cool J had emcee duties at last night's Grammys Live Nominations Concert in Nashville. She traveled to Tennessee after a fun few days shacking up with new guy Harry Styles in the Big Apple. Yesterday, though, was all about business. She helped announce those in the running for the 2013 Grammys — check out the full list of 2013 Grammys Nominees! Taylor grabbed three nods herself, but Kanye West and Jay-Z lead the pack with six nominations for Watch the Throne. The Grammys air Feb. 10 on CBS.
David Beckham brought along his Galaxy teammate Robbie Keane to sit courtside at last night's Lakers game in LA. A usual face in the front row at the Staples Center, David cheered on the basketball squad with Robbie, an Irish player, on one side and Adam Levine on the other. Adam and David got into the action, though only one brought along their significant other — Adam had his model girlfriend, Behati Prinsloo, by his side, but Victoria Beckham stayed home. Despite the sports action, Adam still took time to send his well wishes to those suffering in the wake of Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast. Adam tweeted, "Sending love to those who need it on the east coast. You are all in our thoughts."
There were plenty more stars on hand in addition to David and Adam. Katy Perry stayed close to her dad and far away from her ex-husband, Russell Brand. Zac Efron was also there to cheer for the Lakers despite their 91-99 loss to the visiting Mavericks.
The winners at last night's star-studded American Music Awards brought their newly acquired statues into the press room of LA's Nokia Theatre. Katherine Heigl and her musician husband, Josh Kelley, were presenters, but nonetheless showed some love for photographers backstage. Make sure to check out all of the 2011 American Music Award winners!
Last night's 2011 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was an amazing spectacle starring everyone from Kanye and Jay-Z to Maroon 5, but the action didn't stop when the final Angel hit the runway — then it was off to the afterparty! Miranda Kerr swapped her $2.5 million Fantasy Treasure bra for a hot white dress to hit the red carpet at Dream Downtown, and while she didn't have Orlando Bloom by her side for the bash, he was front and center cheering her when she hit the catwalk. It was Miranda's first Victoria's Secret runway since giving birth, and she looked amazing with a huge smile on her face in all her elaborate looks.
Fellow VS Angel Adriana Lima showed off her sexy back in a short blue number while Adam Levine reunited with his supermodel squeeze Anna V. to pose for pictures. Adam took the stage with Maroon 5 during the show and he and Anna snuck in a quick kiss during his performance of "Moves Like Jagger." There's lots more to come from Victoria's Secret's huge night in NYC, so check out PopSugar Rush and watch it air Nov. 29 on CBS.
